People work around it with caffeinate, a Mac mini in a closet, or a $6 VPS and tmux. It works until the VPS runs out of memory at 3 a.m., or Remote Control drops overnight and won’t reconnect.

Questions
Does Claude Code keep running when I close my laptop?
On your laptop, no: when the Mac sleeps, the process stops. On Cube, Claude Code runs on a cloud computer that stays on, so closing your laptop only closes your view of it.
Do I use my own Claude subscription?
Yes. You install Claude Code on your Cube and sign in with your own Claude account, the same way you would on your laptop.
Is this the same as Claude Code cloud sessions?
No. Cloud sessions run on a temporary VM that Anthropic reclaims when the session goes idle. Cube is your own machine: your repos, tools and files stay put between sessions.
Can I still use my own editor or terminal?
Yes. Cube sets up SSH for you, so ssh cube works from Terminal, Ghostty, Warp or your editor.
